There is no condition of such magnitude - yet so shrouded in myth, misinformation, and mistreatment - as migraine.
— Joel R. Saper, MD, Chair, MRF Medical Advisory Board

Are you a migraine sufferer or close to someone who is? Do you want to help end the suffering? Help the Migraine Research Foundation raise money for research while raising awareness about migraine– apply to become an MRF Ambassador!

The Migraine Research Foundation is the only nonprofit whose sole purpose is to raise money for migraine research grants to understand the causes, improve the treatments and find a cure. Every dollar raised goes to fund research as all of our operating costs are covered.

MRF Ambassadors are sufferers and their loved ones – people with Facebook or Instagram accounts, blogs, Twitter handles, email addresses, or all of the above! MRF Ambassadors can work alone or in teams to raise money for migraine research by spreading the word about MRF and the need for research. We encourage Ambassadors from all over the world to communicate with each other often, via social media, the blogosphere, or even over the phone.

How it works: MRF Ambassadors first plan and set goals for their campaign, then use their networks to raise funds and awareness for MRF. There are many ways to do this—write a blog post about MRF and the need for research, send emails to everyone you know, post on social media with a link to our Donate Now page, or create your personalized fundraising page. You can upload a YouTube video, run an Instagram campaign, or do anything else you can think of.

To apply: Email [email protected] with a brief (2 – 3 sentences) introduction explaining why you want to be an MRF Ambassador and what you love about the work done by MRF.

Then, share your plan with us by answering these three questions:

1. Timing: When will you start fundraising, and what are your deadlines? Will your fundraising focus on one event, or will you be raising money and awareness longer-term, over time?
2. Outreach: Who are you planning to contact, and how will you contact them? Are you going to ask your friends to use their contact lists too, or will your contacts be enough?
3. Goals: How much money do you plan to raise? How many more contacts do you want to introduce to MRF?

We’ll review your application, and if you’re accepted, we’ll send you what you need to get started.

How we’ll help: Want to Instagram pictures of yourself in an MRF shirt? We’ll send you a shirt. Baseball cap? We have those too. Have a blog or website? We’ll send you your own customized MRF Ambassador button with a link to us. Raise a lot of money? We’ll interview you for our website. Tweet that you’re raising money and we’ll RT you to our followers. Want us to set up your own fundraising page? We can do that too. Let’s talk!
