For all the kids like me who get migraine
For Vincent’s 9th birthday this summer, he wanted to make a donation to the Migraine Research Foundation “for all the kids like me who get migraines.” Vincent was diagnosed with migraine at age 5, but has likely been having migraine attacks long before his official diagnosis. Although he is not migraine-free, thanks to medication and preventive measures, he is currently well-controlled. But he’s very aware of the impact migraine has on kids and wanted to raise money to find a cure.
Vincent and his family set up a Facebook fundraiser for the Migraine Research Foundation and were overwhelmed by the support they received. Many people reached out and told of their own personal struggles with migraine, and many of those stories involved children. They learned first- hand how prevalent migraine is in children and teens.
Vincent raised over $900 for the Migraine Research Foundation at only 9 years old!
