A mother whose doctor gave up on her
Andrea is a mother and wife who’s suffered from migraine almost her whole life.
She’s tried almost every treatment available, including the controversial and painful daith ear piercing. She struggles with self-blame, wondering “what did I do to bring on this last one? Did I eat the wrong food or did I wait too long to eat? Did I work on the computer too long? Did I sleep too much or not enough? Did I try to do too much?”
Fed up with her suffering and her neurologist who said there was nothing left to try, Andrea launched a fundraiser for migraine research during Migraine Awareness Month 2016. She wrote her friends and family explaining just how much “migraines SUCK.” She eventually passed her original fundraising goal, raising over $1,000 for research into better treatments and a cure for her suffering.
Watch out for Andrea during Migraine Awareness Month 2017, when she’ll be launching yet another fundraiser!
